Modern, Intimate Wedding in Williamsburg, Brooklyn, New York

A couple stands in front of the Williamsburg bridge on their wedding day. The bride is standing in front of her husband, leaning against him, and he has his arms around her.

I had such a great time photographing William and Tiffany’s modern, intimate wedding. This gorgeous couple planned their intimate wedding in their neighborhood of Williamsburg, Brooklyn in less than five weeks. It was amazing to see how everything came together so perfectly for their special day in such a short time frame!

A unique wedding day for a perfectly unique couple

William and Tiffany chose to get ready together on the morning of their wedding. This honestly may have been my favorite part of the day. The way they helped each other was beyond adorable. Plus, they got ready in the most beautiful suite at The William Vale, with a view overlooking the Manhattan skyline.

I quickly learned that these two both love all things related to plants and greenery, and this theme was evident throughout their whole day. Fittingly, both the ceremony and reception of this modern, intimate wedding were held in an outdoor garden area at a local Brooklyn restaurant called Aurora.

Since William and Tiffany got married in the neighborhood where they actually live, it was easy to see that they truly loved and felt comfortable in every spot we went to that day.

These wedding photos captured iconic shots of New York

New York has always been a big part of William and Tiffany’s relationship. Because of that, we made sure to include iconic shots of the city in their wedding photos. I loved capturing the classic Manhattan skyline behind the couple as they enjoyed a pre-ceremony cocktail together. Later on, the Williamsburg bridge made a cameo in their portraits and family photos.

William and Tiffany wanted to do their wedding portraits in nearby Domino Park, a cool, industrial spot in their Williamsburg neighborhood. This park used to be the historic Domino sugar refinery, which was built way back in 1882. I had so much fun scouting the perfect locations that would help create a romantic, intimate feel despite being in the middle of a popular, crowded park.

An intimate wedding with the couple’s family and closest friends

William and Tiffany knew they really only wanted close friends and family to be a part of their celebration. With that in mind, they intentionally kept their wedding on the smaller side, so they could truly connect with everyone who joined in their day.

I loved seeing these personal, close knit relationships play out throughout the day. One of Tiffany’s closest friends designed the most beautiful wedding flowers for the day. The favors the guests took home with them were little packages of seasoned salt that William and Tiffany made with ingredients from their own garden.
