thoughtfully capturing the moments that would come together to tell the story. Through these experiences I learned so much about anticipating moments, being able to think quickly on my feet, and being able to find the beauty in the in between times. When I made the decision to establish my own business, these skills had perfectly equipped me to photograph the truly unique event that is a wedding!

"Photography is an art of observation.  It has little to do with the things you see and everything to do with the way you see them."

I've spent the last almost 15 years moving around the country and traveling the world with my partner in all things: my husband, Rick.  After meeting at The University of North Carolina many moons ago, Rick and I knew that this life was meant for us to do together and we haven't looked back since.  Rick's career as an officer in the Army finds us moving all over the country and affords us the opportunity to explore new places

and take in new experiences.  Avid travelers, you will often find us exploring a new country with Rick waiting patiently as I stop to photograph every incredible scene (or flower) we come across.  We are  currently based in Washington, DC where we live with our tiny lion, Squirrel, and our sweet little guy, Roman, in a townhouse that I am slowly but surely turning into a greenhouse.

I photograph weddings for clients who prioritize the joy of celebrating with loved ones and beginning the next chapter of their lives together while also bringing their own unique style and flare to their day. Exploring the amazing world we live in inspires my creativity and cultivates an appreciation for the kindness, love, and beauty in all corners of the world. We dream big and always have a few amazing destinations in our sights!  Our recent favorites have been Scotland, Iceland, Morocco, and New Zealand!

I love being surrounded by things that are green and growing.  Everything from my collection of beautiful planters and pots to the fascinating variety of shapes, colors, and sizes of plants just draws me in! I currently have over 30 different sizes and varieties of plants filling up our tiny DC apartment!

Squirrel is our ultimate and constant little companion.  We chose to adopt her from the shelter when she attacked Rick's fingers through her cage - she was feisty then and not much has changed! This cat is more well traveled than most people I know and as long as she has a lap to curl up on, she'll gladly go with us anywhere!
