So rather than giving you a collection with every photo duplicated in black and white, I select photographs where distractions can fall away and focus on the emotion in that moment. I started my career photographing events for a regional magazine and fell in love with the photojournalistic aspect of observing an event and thoughtfully capturing the moments that would come together to tell the story. When photographing events for a local magazine in Savannah, Georgia I loved the unknown aspect of it all - never really knowing what I would be walking into, what it would be like, or what would be happening. It helped me learn a lot about anticipating moments, staying flexible, and adapting to any situation. Through these experiences I learned so much about anticipating moments, being able to think quickly on my feet, and being able to find the beauty in the in between times. When I made the decision to establish my own business, these skills had perfectly equipped me to photograph the truly unique event that is a wedding!

After meeting 15 years ago at The University of North Carolina, I've traveled the world with my husband, Rick. We are currently based in North Carolina where we live with our tiny lion, Squirrel, & our two sweet babies, Roman and Daisy, in a home that I am slowly turning into a greenhouse.

I love being surrounded by things that are green and growing. Everything from my collection of beautiful planters and pots to the fascinating variety of shapes, colors, and sizes of plants just draws me in! I currently have over 30 different sizes and varieties of plants filling up our home!
