Branding Editorial Photo Shoot for Lavenders Flowers | Santa Ana, CA

A vibrant, spring-themed floral arrangement hangs about a boho-styled table. The table has individual place settings, colorful candles, and wildflower bouquets on it. So, when Lavenders Flowers of Santa Ana, California contacted me about working on a branding editorial photo shoot for them, I was all in!

Lavenders Flowers is owned by the talented floral designer Janelle Wylie. Janelle’s eye for floral design is incredible. She has spent time in Italy studying fine art, including color theory and design, painting, and sculpture. Additionally, Janelle is very passionate about sustainability and exploring the natural world.

The combination of her fine arts background and love for nature has shaped Janell’s floral design work today. All of Janelle’s floral arrangements have such an elegant, yet organic look that is so gorgeous. The floral design for this branding editorial photo shoot was no exception!

A gorgeous spring-themed branding editorial photo shoot

The concept of our shoot was “Spring Awakening.” We wanted to represent the exciting transition from winter to spring. It is a time when things are not quite in full bloom yet, but are not in hibernation anymore either. For this shoot, Janelle designed floral arrangements using muted, yet rich colors to represent this change in seasons.

I loved the unique color palette she chose, which was full of mauve hues, terra cotta tones, many shades of green, and various pastel accents. All of these colors worked together to make the most beautiful fashion-inspired floral editorial!

Why I love working as a brand photographer

Branding editorial photo shoots like this one are definitely some of my favorites. I absolutely love collaborating with business owners to help them showcase who they are and where they are headed with their business. Plus, as a creative business owner myself, it always feels so special to get to work with other creatives to bring their visions for their photo shoots to life. I’m so thankful for these opportunities as a brand photographer, and I can’t wait to work on more shoots like this in the future!
