English Rose Garden Wedding at Antrim 1844 | Taneytown, Maryland

A couple stands together on their wedding day in front of a white trellis archway with white and pink flowers and lots of greenery hanging on the sides. Taken at Antrim 1844 in Taneytown, Maryland by greater DMV area wedding photographer Kim Branagan.I’m so excited to share the photos from Emily and Brett’s romantic rose garden wedding. This sweet couple had their June wedding at the Antrim 1844 venue in Taneytown, Maryland. It was very inspiring to see how they really went the extra mile to personalize their wedding day.

The gorgeous outdoor English Rose Garden venue

The whole venue had a lovely English garden feel to it. This went perfectly with Emily’s love of rose gardens and the book The Secret Garden.

The amazing Courtney Pino of Loblolly Farm planned and styled the wedding and brought Emily’s English Rose garden dream to life. She incorporated shades of pink in the wedding florals and a lush, loose bridal bouquet. The wedding flowers complimented Emily’s breathtaking dress so well. With the bridesmaids also all wearing white, the vibrant pink florals stood out even more.

Heartwarming customizations to the bride’s stunning gown

Emily had her wedding dress personalized in a number of ways, including a stitched yellow flower at the bottom of her gown to symbolize her grandmother. One detail I absolutely loved was how she had her and Brett’s favorite quote stitched along the edge of her train.

All of the special touches Emily and Brett planned made the day feel so intimate and emotive. It was easy to see that this couple could not have been happier to get to celebrate the occasion with their closest friends and family. I so enjoyed being part of such a meaningful day!

The bride shares what inspired her garden wedding

Here are some words from the bride herself about what inspired her English rose garden wedding… “I always loved the idea of a garden wedding and am drawn to the romantic and traditional feeling of an English Rose Garden wedding. Roses have always had a special significance to me. We got engaged in a rose garden, my grandmother’s favorite flower was a yellow rose, and now we’re getting married in a rose garden! My dress is also a lot of the inspiration: romantic, covered in flowers and whimsical. Our venue fits the feeling I wanted perfectly. It’s a unique setting, a historical place with lots of antiques and quirks, and a place where we can hang out with family and friends all weekend!”
