Outdoor Vineyard Wedding at King Family Vineyards | Charlottesville, VA

I absolutely loved doing the photography for Jenessa (Jenny) and Mike’s outdoor wedding at King Family Vineyards in stunning Charlottesville, Virginia. The general theme and inspiration for the day was clean and elegant. This theme wasn’t hard to capture having gorgeous white and green florals to work with and wedding colors made up of beautiful shades of blue. These shades were woven throughout the event and expressed in the bridesmaids’ dresses, Jenny’s shoes, and even the table linens.

Wedding vows read amongst the stunning scenery of Charlottesville

Jenny and Mike wrote personal vows which they read to each other shortly after their emotional first look. It was such an intimate moment that they were able to share between just the two of them. The nerves had been building and the emotions flowed the minute Mike turned around and saw Jenny standing there in her gorgeous white dress, ready to marry him. It was incredibly sweet to watch as she dried his tears and they read their vows to each other against the stunning backdrop of the rolling hills of Charlottesville. I felt so privileged to be able to capture this special moment for them to treasure in the years to come.

The bride’s tattoos; the unique element of these wedding photos

Jenny grew up living all over the world and cultivated her own eclectic style through her travels. One way that she has chosen to express this is through her tattoos. Her left arm displays a stunning tapestry of exotic flowers. I was excited to incorporate Jenny’s tattoos into the shoot as another beautiful aspect of her personality and cultural experiences. The tattoos added a layer of intrigue and made this couple’s wedding photos uniquely THEM.

A perfect finale to this vineyard wedding

After saying “I do”, Jenny and Mike were beyond excited to start dancing the night away with friends and family who had traveled from all over the country to celebrate them on their special day. There was a contagious excitement and energy throughout the evening that filled the elegantly decorated reception hall at King Family Vineyards. It was a perfect ending to a perfect wedding day.
